1- What is the Valencia Tourist Card?

The Valencia Tourist Card is is a card aimed at tourists visiting the city and its goal is to promote and enable the visitors and tourists that come to the city, to visit Valencia's numerous attractions in a quick and convenient way.

2- What types of cards are there?

There are 24hr, 48hr and 72hr Valencia Tourist Cards.

3- How much do they cost?

24 hour Valencia Tourist Card: 15 €
48 hour Valencia Tourist Card: 20 €
72 hour Valencia Tourist Card: 25 €
You can obtain a 10% discount by purchasing the card online.

4- Can I purchase the Valencia Tourist Card with the 10% discount at any Tourist Info office?

NO. The discount is only available for online purchases. All our Tourist Info offices sell the cards at their current retail price, unless there are any special offers at that time.

5- What will I get with the card?

When you go to collect your card, you will be given a guide and a map with all the addresses of the establishments and services where you will receive a discount on presenting your Valencia Tourist Card.

6- What does the Valencia Tourist Card include?

Includes unlimited, free public transport on bus, tram and metro (AB area: Airport-Valencia, Valencia-Airport).
Discounts on museums, monuments and other tourist attractions in the city such as leisure facilities, restaurants and shops, car hire…)

7- Can I use the Valencia Tourist Card at the Airport?

Yes. The Valencia Tourist Card includes the metro journey from the Airport to the city and viceversa.

8- Can I use the whole public transport network?

The Valencia Tourist Card includes unlimited transport for bus and tram, within zone A and for the metro within zone AB, including the Airport-Valencia, Valencia-Airport route.

The urban buses correspond to the EMT (red).
You are allowed to change an unlimited number of times between metro, bus and tram.

9- Where can I use it?

At museums, monuments and other places of interest; in daytime leisure areas and at night, in shops, restaurants, for car hire, and other tourist attractions.

10- Is there a Valencia Tourist Card for children?

Children between 0 and 5 years of age don’t need one because they can travel free on public transport and enter tourist attractions for free or at a reduced rate.

With the needs of families in mind, Valencia Tourism has created the Family Card in order to adapt the Valencia Tourist Card for children between 6 and 12 years of age.

When you come to Valencia with your family, buy your VTCards for the whole group and we’ll give you a 10% discount on adult cards and a 20% discount on cards for children between 6 and 12 years of age. You can chose between several types of Family Card:
1 adult + 1 child, 2 adults + 1 child, 2 adults + 2 children, 2 adults + 3 children, and many more… check what else is available.

Identity cards or passports must be shown for adults and children in order to use the Family Card.

11- What are the age restrictions for the Family Card?

Adults: 13 years and over
Children: from 6 to 12 years (inclusive).

12-How much will I save?

When you buy as a family, adults save 10% and children 20% on any type of card.

13- Where can I buy the Family Card?

14- How do I validate the card?

The Valencia Tourist Card can be validated in 2 ways:

Automatically: passing the card through the public transport turnstile (it is detected by its built-in chip).
Manually: noting down on the card the date the discount was applied.

15- How long is the card valid for?

The card can be used for 24 hrs, 48 hrs or 72 hrs, depending on the type, from the moment when it is first used.

16- Can I increase my card's duration?

Yes. The Valencia Tourist Card is rechargeable and can be recharged at any of our Tourist Offices (see question 23)

17- What should I do if my card doesn´t work?

If your card does not work or an error occurs, go to any of our Tourist Offices (see question 23) with your receipt and you will be given a new card or one which corresponds with the remaining validity period when the error occurs.

18- Where can I buy the card?

You can buy it online, at www.turisvalencia.es: in the Reservations and Online Purchase section, with a 10% discount.
In our Tourist Offices: Plaza de la Reina 19, Joaquín Sorolla ( Long distance Station), Airport and Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Square) s/n, and Playa Paseo Neptuno, s/n (open temporarily from April to October approximately).

In many hotels, hostels, kiosks and tourism companies in the city.

In the main tourism pages on the Internet and through numerous national and foreign tour operators.

19- Can I buy the Valencia Tourist Card for groups?

Yes. All parties over 20, are considered a group and a discount of 15% is applied.
Through the Special Offers Portal at www.turisvalencia.es between 20 and 30 units can be purchased.
For larger numbers, the orders can be dealt with at Tourist Offices (see question 23) or sending an e-mail to atencionalvisitante@turisvalencia.es

20- How do I pick up my card?

To collect your card you can go to any of our Tourist Offices (see question 23) and present your receipt together with the ID document (ID card or passport) of the person who made the reservation.

21- Can you send the Valencia Tourist Card to my house?

NO. When you buy the Valencia Tourist Card online, a receipt is sent by email, which should be presented together with the ID document (ID card or passport) of the person who has made the reservation, at the Tourism Offices (see question 23).

22- Can you send the card to my hotel?

No, Valencia Tourist Cards cannot be sent to your hotel.
Cards can only be sent to hotels within the city of Valencia for groups, on prior request, by sending an e-mail to atencionalvisitante@turisvalencia.es

24- How much will I save by using the Valencia Tourist Card?

The amount saved varies depending on the discounts applied and the tourism services used, but tickets for Bioparc, Bus Turístic, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) for example, as well as guided tours, receive a saving of around €20.
The more services used, the greater the benefits.

25- How can I help protect the Environment?

Valencia Tourist Cards can be recycled. When your stay in the city comes to an end, you can place them in the designated receptacle, at any of the city's Tourist Offices (see question 23) or in the one located in the arrival hall at the Airport's metro station.

26- What happens if I buy a card and then I decide to change or return it?

If the Valencia Tourist Card has been purchased at any of our Tourist Info Valencia offices (see question 23), the amount can be refunded provided that the cards have not been activated.

If the Valencia Tourist Card has been purchased at the Special Portal Offer, you can go to one of our Tourist Offices with the receipt of purchase and the ID document (ID card or passport) of the person who made the reservation and the amount can be refunded.
